Southlake, Texas, as its name suggests, is south of a lake; Grapevine Lake, to be exact. This beautiful suburb was incorporated in 1956, a few years following the creation of the lake. With the construction of DFW Airport, Southlake became another “boom-burb,” its population skyrocketing through the 80’s, 90’s and 2000’s. But they describe themselves as “a hidden treasure of tranquility in the middle of the Metroplex.” Texas Hardwood Flooring has had a strong presence in Southlake, having installed many hardwood floors and refinished numerous others.

Right near the lake to the north is the marvelous Bob Jones Nature Center & Preserve. It was founded to “give people a unique opportunity to explore the Cross Timbers ecosystem,” our local habitat. It is here that one can bird, hike and be taught about this distinctive ecosystem we inhabit.
