No two solid hardwood floors are the same. Solid hardwood flooring offers a truly custom solution. When we install hardwood flooring in your home, we will provide stain samples in your home with your lighting so that you can see exactly how your floor will look in your home. At our showroom in the Design District, we have an entire room dedicated to sample of different wood species stains and finishes. Our project managers can discuss all the options with you to assist you in making the best choice for your home’s design. Species include red oak, white oak, maple, cherry, hickory and walnut. In Texas the most used species is oak. Patterns can include herringbone, chevron, and borders.
Environmentally Friendly
Unlike most flooring alternatives, solid hardwood comes from a natural resource that is easily renewable. Today’s hardwood forests used to produce flooring products grow more than twice as fast as they are being harvested. This industry-wide commitment to sustainable wood made it possible to have 90% more hardwood growing today in the U.S. more than there was 50 years ago. Wood is also biodegradable, and recyclable. It’s the least energy-consuming flooring material and consumes far less energy in the manufacturing process than floor covering.

TX Hardwood was a perfect match for our needs. They installed hardwoods in the half of our house that was carpeted, and it has a seamless transition with the existing hardwoods! It looks like both sides of the house were installed at the same time.

During what was a stressful time given the water damage (which was a big disruption to our family) we needed our floors replaced. Jesse and team made it feel like they were right alongside us and truly showed empathy and patience. They were able to seamlessly make us feel comfortable and taken care of - especially as a family with two children under the age of 10. The entire experience from quote to completion of the process was about as easy as I could have dreamed.
